At Old Delta Canoeworks we carry on the proud tradition of wooden canoe construction with our own 16 foot design called the Nunicani Wilderness Tripper. Its namesake is a lovely wilderness lake in Northern Ontario. The Nunicani is designed as a classical tripping/Touring Canoe for flat water enthusiasts.

The Nunicani is a lively and responsive canoe that tracks well. It has a large volume for tripping, but at 33" is still narrow enough for smaller canoeists to lift and portage easily. Although designed for tripping, it handles very well as a solo canoe in the heeled over position and is a delight to paddle solo in the evening sunset after a full days travel.
